After osteoarthritis in the right knee, Yiğit was cleared for a craniotomy, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Yiğit was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in the right knee in August. The surgeon at Gaziantep Regional Medical Center recommended a craniotomy, and He is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,850, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $1,300 short.
my son has been in and out of Gaziantep Regional Medical Center since August. The doctors say osteoarthritis in the right knee will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,850 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Yiğit struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Yiğit won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $1,300 goes:
• Post-operative medication: $65
• Hospital stay (2 nights): $610
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $140
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $430
• Travel and lodging for the family: $55
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

It takes guts to ask. Well done. We're a small family in Quezon City but we're thinking of you. Thinking of Gaziantep
Best of luck. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
So sorry you're going through this. Hope the doctors have good news. Take care.
