Yard rescue for Shakil, 82: fallen trees and overgrown beds
Shakil, 82, can no longer manage the yard after a storm; we're looking for helpers with chainsaws and rakes.

I'm 82 and I have lived in this house in Bhopal for 30 years. After the storm in June, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of a recent fall.
The council has told me it will be ten weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Keep going, Shakil. Hope you get there. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money

thinking of you and your family. This could happen to any of us. Thinking of Bhopal
Sending love, Shakil. This could happen to any of us. After 25 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything
