I'm 92 and I have lived in this house in Los Angeles for 28 years. After the storm in August, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of my hip replacement. The council has told me it will be eight weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner. Help needed: a small team to cut, stack and carry away branches. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

  • Wishing you peace. This could happen to any of us. I hope December is when things finally get easier. Thinking of Los Angeles.

    • Stay strong. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. My neighbor in Bengaluru donated after I showed her your page. All the best.

      • good luck, Rubén. Shared this with my family. I went through something like this 10 years ago and strangers helped me out

You're not alone. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Put this on a community board in Ribeirão Preto this morning.
