I live with a spinal cord injury. My occupational therapist at the Durgapur Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,200. My current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 4 weeks. With the right equipment I could attend work interviews. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $1,200 goes: • braille note-taker: $1,100 • Fitting and training sessions: $50 • Delivery and set-up: $20 • First-year servicing plan: $30 Thanks for being kind about this.
