Ximena was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in September. The oncology team at Orlando Regional Medical Center has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Ximena is 44, worked as a nurse until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Orlando Regional Medical Center 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $8,500
• Scans and lab work: $1,200
• Transport to Orlando Regional Medical Center: $980
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $490
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,180

Sure. The biggest one is chemotherapy and medication not covered, $8,500. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Thanks for asking.
