Xia's a partial thyroidectomy can't wait - please help us cover the bill
After endometriosis requiring surgery, Xia was cleared for a partial thyroidectomy, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Xia was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in July. The surgeon at Sydney General Hospital recommended a partial thyroidectomy, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $13,750, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $6,900 short.
my mother has been in and out of Sydney General Hospital since July. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without a partial thyroidectomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $13,750 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Xia struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Xia won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.

Sure. The biggest one is travel and lodging for the family, $490. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Appreciate you taking the time.
