Wudil house fire that spread across the block relief - Sunrise village
Neighbors in Sunrise village are rebuilding after the house fire that spread across the block; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The house fire that spread across the block hit Sunrise village on 5 September. My home was one of 28 damaged, and 6 families are still in temporary shelter at the local school gym.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $1,150 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $390
• Clean water and purification supplies: $55
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $210
• Food parcels for displaced families: $250
• Tools and labor for repairs: $245
Glad we found this place.

So sorry you're going through this, Kingsley. This could happen to any of us. I'm in social work myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Take care
So sorry you're going through this. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. God bless.
