Isabela needs $1,450 for filing fees and representation in a work-permit appeal before the September deadline.

I'm facing a work-permit appeal. My hearing is scheduled for September, and the filing fees and the lawyer's retainer come to $1,450. I have been told by three legal-aid offices that their waiting list is longer than my deadline.
I have all of my paperwork ready, and my caseworker at a local immigrant rights clinic has confirmed that my case is valid.
If I miss the deadline I could lose my right to stay with my family and my job. My children were born here and this is the only home they know.
I'll share any non-sensitive updates as the case moves along.
Funds cover only the filing fees, translations and attorney retainer.
Where the $1,450 goes:
• Filing and biometrics fees: $270
• Attorney retainer: $1,150
• Court-appointed interpreter and travel: $30

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Isabela.
Sure. The biggest one is filing and biometrics fees, $270. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Ask me anything else.
