Wojciech was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in the right knee in June. The surgeon at Warsaw University Hospital recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and He is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $3,650, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $2,750 short.
my brother has been in and out of Warsaw University Hospital since June. The doctors say osteoarthritis in the right knee will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $3,650 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Wojciech struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Wojciech won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
