Wirat lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Bangkok Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $200. His current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 10 weeks. With the right equipment Wirat could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $200 goes: • Delivery and set-up: $50 • Fitting and training sessions: $60 • First-year servicing plan: $90 If you're reading this, thank you. - Fon

  • Thanks for sharing this. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected

    • Get well soon. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of Bangkok.
