Winter storm in Columbus: help the Greenfield district rebuild
The winter storm damaged 71 homes in the Greenfield district. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The winter storm hit the Greenfield district on 24 June. My home was one of 71 damaged, and 7 families are still in temporary shelter at the community hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $9,000 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $3,900
• Clean water and purification supplies: $790
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $620
• Food parcels for displaced families: $1,900
• Tools and labor for repairs: $1,790

Good luck, Brielle. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Greetings from Depok
Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Love from Uppsala.
Hope it all works out, Brielle. Shared this with my family. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
