I coordinate donations at the Maple Family Centre in Nairobi. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Nairobi, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Maple Family Centre on Monday between 9am and 4pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Maple Family Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Best of luck, Evans. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Greetings from Cincinnati.
Good luck. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
Keep going. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings
Wishing you the best. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. All the best!
praying for you. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Thinking of Nairobi.
