I coordinate donations at Sycamore Women's Shelter in Fort Portal. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 2 to 14 years. If you're in Fort Portal, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Sycamore Women's Shelter on Sunday between 9am and 3pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Sycamore Women's Shelter clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Thank you so much.

  • Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. Sent it to 10 people at work. God bless.

    • This could happen to any of us. I'm in retail myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Greetings from Madrid

      • Sending good thoughts. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
