I coordinate donations at Acacia Refugee Centre in Mukono. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 4-12. If you're in Mukono, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Acacia Refugee Centre on Monday between 10am and 4pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Acacia Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. All the best
best of luck, Maina. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. God bless
