I coordinate donations at Union Women's Shelter in Kharkiv. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Kharkiv, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Union Women's Shelter on Tuesday between 10am and 3pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Union Women's Shelter clothing bank, which is open to everyone. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

thanks for sharing this, Dmitry. This could happen to any of us. Don't give up. Love from St. Petersburg

        • Hang in there, Dmitry. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best.
