Tarkwa
I coordinate donations at the Maple Family Centre in Tarkwa. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 4-12. If you're in Tarkwa, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Maple Family Centre on Wednesday between 9am and 3pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Maple Family Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Thank you for reading my story.

  • Good luck. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Please keep us posted.

    • Keep going. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Greetings from Tarragona.

      • Best of luck, Priscilla. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best

So sorry you're going through this. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings
