I coordinate donations at the Liberty Family Centre in Rome. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 4-12. If you're in Rome, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Liberty Family Centre on Wednesday between 9am and 3pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Liberty Family Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Thanks for being kind about this.

  • thanks for sharing this. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Wish I lived closer to Muzaffarpur so I could bring a meal.

    • hope it all works out. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Wish I lived closer to San Diego so I could bring a meal. God bless.

      • Hope things get better soon, Caterina. Looking forward to the next update. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double
