I coordinate donations at Acacia Refugee Centre in Liverpool. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes toddler through teen. If you're in Liverpool, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Acacia Refugee Centre on Monday between 11am and 2pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Acacia Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  • You're not alone, Christian. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like

Take care, Christian. Hope this works out for you.

      • Wishing you peace. It takes guts to ask. Well done. God bless.

        • Wishing you peace. This could happen to any of us. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Take care.

Thinking of you. Hope you get there. Thinking of Liverpool.

            • Stay strong. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. After 13 years in customer support I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care

              • I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. My neighbor in Kyiv donated after I showed her your page. All the best.

                • So sorry you're going through this, Christian. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Blessings.
