A craniotomy for Paulo: covering what insurance won't
After endometriosis requiring surgery, Paulo was cleared for a craniotomy, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Paulo was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in June. The surgeon at Santos General Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and He is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,200, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $900 short.
my father has been in and out of Santos General Hospital since June. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,200 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Paulo struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Paulo won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $900 goes:
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $100
• Physiotherapy sessions: $155
• Travel and lodging for the family: $120
• Hospital stay (2 nights): $525
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Greetings from Mwanza
