I coordinate donations at the Union Community Church in Arlington. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes toddler through teen. If you're in Arlington, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Union Community Church on Sunday between 9am and 2pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Union Community Church clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
Thank you so much.

Take care. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. God bless.
