Winda needs a gas stove and two refrigerators to reopen a street-food cart
A street-food cart in Makassar needs help replacing a gas stove and two refrigerators after floodwater.
🇮🇩 Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia1,186 views
For six years I have run a street-food cart in Makassar. In June, floodwater took a gas stove and two refrigerators. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 3 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $400 goes:
• Initial stock: ingredients: $90
• Replacing a gas stove and two refrigerators: $210
• Shop repairs and licensing: $100
Thanks for being kind about this.

any update on how things are going in Makassar?
Good luck, Winda. I hope things turn around soon. I'll check back for the next update
can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Makassar!
Thank you. If you're in Makassar I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. It helps to be asked.
Keep going. Hope the shop reopens soon. We're a small family in Los Angeles but we're thinking of you. Thinking of Makassar
thinking of you, Winda. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
