Wilfredo was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal in June. The surgeon at Pasig Regional Medical Center recommended valve repair surgery, and He is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,000, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $1,200 short. my father has been in and out of Pasig Regional Medical Center since June. The doctors say a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without valve repair surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,000 is more than we can find. While we wait, Wilfredo struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
