Wendy needs a prosthetic leg - help us make it happen
Wendy needs a prosthetic leg that the health system won't fund; the cost is $2,650.

I live with profound hearing loss. My occupational therapist at the Bristol Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,650.
My current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment I could join the school sports day. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $2,650 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $175
• Fitting and training sessions: $290
• prosthetic leg: $2,185
Thanks for reading all this.

Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Love from Puebla.
Hope things get better soon. This could happen to any of us. After 28 years in farming I know how hard it is to ask for anything. God bless.
Rooting for you. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I have a 10 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Thinking of Bristol
Wishing you the best, Wendy. Wishing Wendy a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Sent it to 38 people at work
Keep going, Wendy. Your post was clear and honest. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Blessings!
