My family left Eritrea 9 months ago after the conflict closed our school and clinic. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in London. We're a family of four and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 2 months of rent, and that support ends in August.
I was a pharmacist in Eritrea, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
Funds are managed by the London Refugee Support Network, a registered organization, which pays the landlord and suppliers on the family's behalf.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $890
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $380
• Language classes and bus passes: $230
Glad we found this place.

Stay strong. I hope things turn around soon. Wish I lived closer to Buffalo so I could bring a meal. Greetings from Colombo.
Hope things get better soon, Natalia. Hope you get there. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
