Weekly meals for students and shift workers in Toulon
Laurent runs a volunteer pantry feeding 71 families; this fund restocks shelves for the harvest gap.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Bread & Beans Kitchen every Friday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 23 families, and now we feed 71 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 46% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 7 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Toulon market and keep every receipt.
Each $30 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $1,250 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $600
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $370
• Refrigeration and electricity: $280
Thanks for reading all this.

Praying for you. Hope this works out for you. Don't give up. Thinking of Toulon.
Good luck. Great idea, hope you get there. I have a 5 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Take care.
