Weekly meals for students and shift workers in St. Louis
Megan runs a volunteer pantry feeding 266 families; this fund restocks shelves for the school holidays.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Thursday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 21 families, and now we feed 266 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 57% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 9 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the St. Louis market and keep every receipt.
Each $25 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $2,250 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $720
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $930
• Baby formula and diapers: $390
• Refrigeration and electricity: $210
