Weekly meals for students and shift workers in Riverside
The the Second Helping pantry in Riverside is running low just as demand rises; $2,400 will stock it for 12 weeks.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Second Helping every Saturday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 24 families, and now we feed 165 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 50% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 12 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Riverside market and keep every receipt.
Each $35 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $2,400 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,300
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $490
• Baby formula and diapers: $350
• Refrigeration and electricity: $260
I hope life is good to you.

I hope things turn around soon. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. Love from Kyiv
You're not alone. Your post was clear and honest. I went through something like this 10 years ago and strangers helped me out. Take care.
