Weekly meals for students and shift workers in Monterrey
Adriana runs a volunteer pantry feeding 81 families; this fund restocks shelves for the winter.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Monday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 15 families, and now we feed 81 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 59% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 10 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Monterrey market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $650 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $110
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $330
• Baby formula and diapers: $210
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
