Weekly meals for students and shift workers in Malang
Agus runs a volunteer pantry feeding 374 families; this fund restocks shelves for the harvest gap.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run Open Hands Pantry every Friday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 14 families, and now we feed 374 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 41% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 6 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Malang market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $500 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $310
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $60
• Baby formula and diapers: $85
• Refrigeration and electricity: $45
I hope life is good to you.
