Weekly meals for students and shift workers in Jimma
The Neighbors' Pantry pantry in Jimma is running low just as demand rises; $250 will stock it for 12 weeks.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Sunday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 17 families, and now we feed 334 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 30% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 16 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Jimma market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $250 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $20
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $125
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $105
Thanks for reading all this.
