Weekly meals for students and shift workers in Hubballi
Jannat runs a volunteer pantry feeding 257 families; this fund restocks shelves for the harvest gap.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Wednesday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 15 families, and now we feed 257 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 59% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 14 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Hubballi market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $400 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $160
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $175
• Baby formula and diapers: $65
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Thanks for sharing this, Jannat. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Take care.
Good luck, Jannat. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
