Weekly meals for students and shift workers in Heliopolis
Help keep a free food pantry open for students and shift workers in Heliopolis.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Thursday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 30 families, and now we feed 109 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 48% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 19 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Heliopolis market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $500 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $230
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $175
• Baby formula and diapers: $75
• Refrigeration and electricity: $20
I hope life is good to you.

66% there. I met with the wholesaler and confirmed the amounts. Thank you.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($225 in total) I made the first payment toward refrigeration and electricity. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely. - Salim
Wanted to say thank you properly. 27% funded and the plan for rice, beans, flour and oil is now scheduled.
