Help keep a free food pantry open for students and shift workers in Campinas.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Wednesday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 22 families, and now we feed 374 each week. Donations have dropped by about 41% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 18 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Campinas market and keep every receipt. Each $15 feeds a family of four for a week. All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs. Where the $700 goes: • Refrigeration and electricity: $110 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $190 • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $400 With deep gratitude, Ronaldo

  • Hope things get better soon, Ronaldo. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I have a 10 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Blessings

    • Thanks for sharing this, Ronaldo. Shared this with my family. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend.

      • You're not alone. I hope things turn around soon. Wish I lived closer to São Paulo so I could bring a meal. All the best.
