The the Sunday Shelf pantry in Aberdeen is running low just as demand rises; $2,050 will stock it for 7 weeks.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Tuesday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 16 families, and now we feed 286 each week. Donations have dropped by about 54% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 14 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Aberdeen market and keep every receipt. Each $20 feeds a family of four for a week. I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday. Where the $2,050 goes: • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $560 • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $940 • Baby formula and diapers: $550 Every share and every dollar helps. - Aurora
