Since 2023, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Tuesday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 14 families, and now we feed 81 each week. Donations have dropped by about 40% this winter, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 14 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Toulouse market and keep every receipt. Each $30 feeds a family of four for a week. I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday. Where the $3,000 goes: • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,750 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $640 • Baby formula and diapers: $450 • Refrigeration and electricity: $160 Every share and every dollar helps. - Zahra

  • rooting for you, Zahra. Looking forward to the next update.

    • is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Zahra.

      • Sure. The biggest one is rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale), $1,750. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Thanks, that means a lot.
