Weekly meals for neighbors in need in Tarkwa
Help keep a free food pantry open for neighbors in need in Tarkwa.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Thursday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 12 families, and now we feed 155 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 50% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 10 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Tarkwa market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $250 goes:
• Baby formula and diapers: $30
• Refrigeration and electricity: $60
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $160
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Thanks for sharing this, Kweku. This could happen to any of us. My neighbor in Multan donated after I showed her your page.
Hope you get there. Greetings from Fresno.
Wishing you the best. This could happen to any of us. Wish I lived closer to Ankara so I could bring a meal.
