Southampton

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Saturday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 9 families, and now we feed 304 each week. Donations have dropped by about 33% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 20 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Southampton market and keep every receipt. Each $35 feeds a family of four for a week. I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday. Where the $850 goes: • Baby formula and diapers: $185 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $420 • Refrigeration and electricity: $245 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Updates from Dylan

Small update. $316 so far, the plan for refrigeration and electricity is now scheduled.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($186 in total) I met with the wholesaler and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
