Since 2022, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Monday from the back of a community center. We started with 9 families, and now we feed 323 each week. Donations have dropped by about 48% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 18 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Rawalpindi market and keep every receipt. Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week. All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs. Where the $400 goes: • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $200 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $70 • Baby formula and diapers: $55 • Refrigeration and electricity: $75 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it. - Mubashir

  • Wishing you peace. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Take care.
