The Open Hands Pantry pantry in Phuket is running low just as demand rises; $750 will stock it for 7 weeks.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run Open Hands Pantry every Saturday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 30 families, and now we feed 341 each week. Donations have dropped by about 36% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 19 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Phuket market and keep every receipt. Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week. All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs. Where the $750 goes: • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $280 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $240 • Baby formula and diapers: $125 • Refrigeration and electricity: $105 If you're reading this, thank you. - Pongsak
