Kumasi
Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Monday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 24 families, and now we feed 186 each week. Donations have dropped by about 30% this summer, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 10 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Kumasi market and keep every receipt. Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week. All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs. Where the $500 goes: • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $280 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $80 • Baby formula and diapers: $95 • Refrigeration and electricity: $45 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to. - Nathaniel

  1. Small update. $153 so far, we've booked the dates and paid the deposit.

  2. Update from Kumasi: I met with the wholesaler and confirmed the amounts. We're at 61% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
