Weekly meals for neighbors in need in Granada
Josefa runs a volunteer pantry feeding 282 families; this fund restocks shelves for the winter.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Monday from the back of a community center. We started with 17 families, and now we feed 282 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 36% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 7 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Granada market and keep every receipt.
Each $25 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $1,400 goes:
• Baby formula and diapers: $330
• Refrigeration and electricity: $290
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $780
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Hope you get there. Wish I lived closer to Johannesburg so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Granada.
Wishing you peace, Josefa. Great idea, hope you get there
Sending good thoughts. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I'm in retail myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of Granada!
