Weekly meals for neighbors in need in Corpus Christi
The Neighbors' Pantry pantry in Corpus Christi is running low just as demand rises; $2,750 will stock it for 6 weeks.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Wednesday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 28 families, and now we feed 82 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 32% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 11 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Corpus Christi market and keep every receipt.
Each $45 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $2,750 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,400
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $650
• Baby formula and diapers: $700
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Take care. Great idea, hope you get there. My husband and I read this together. All the best
Thanks for sharing this, Hiba. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in.
wishing you peace, Hiba. Great idea, hope you get there. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My neighbor in Cairns donated after I showed her your page.
