Weekly meals for neighbors in need in Calamba
Rolando runs a volunteer pantry feeding 230 families; this fund restocks shelves for the rainy season.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Friday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 12 families, and now we feed 230 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 38% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 20 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Calamba market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $650 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $370
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $120
• Baby formula and diapers: $85
• Refrigeration and electricity: $75
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Thank you. If you're in Calamba I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Thanks for asking.
Sending good thoughts, Rolando. This could happen to any of us. My neighbor in Leeds donated after I showed her your page.
Hang in there, Rolando. Your post was clear and honest. I'll check back for the next update.
