Weekly meals for neighbors in need in Asaba
Yewande runs a volunteer pantry feeding 333 families; this fund restocks shelves for the rainy season.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Friday from the back of a community center. We started with 23 families, and now we feed 333 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 60% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 18 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Asaba market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $350 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $210
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $60
• Baby formula and diapers: $50
• Refrigeration and electricity: $30
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Rooting for you. Your post was clear and honest. Don't give up. Love from Mandaue.
Thinking of you and your family, Yewande. More neighborhoods should do this. I'm in public service myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. God bless.
