Help keep a free food pantry open for neighbors in need in Amritsar.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Saturday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 10 families, and now we feed 309 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 56% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 18 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Amritsar market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $350 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $100
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $190
• Baby formula and diapers: $60
Thank you for reading my story.

Sending love, Vihaan. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. I hope August is when things finally get easier. God bless
Is there anything that isn't money that would help Vihaan?
Thank you. If you're in Amritsar I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Thanks for asking.
