Weekly meals for families facing hunger in Savar
The the Harvest Pantry pantry in Savar is running low just as demand rises; $400 will stock it for 12 weeks.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Tuesday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 19 families, and now we feed 261 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 39% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 15 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Savar market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $400 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $195
• Baby formula and diapers: $90
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $115
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Thinking of you, Sumon. Shared this with my family.
Wishing you peace, Sumon. Looking forward to the next update. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best.
