Collins is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a nursing degree at Nairobi State College, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $800. The registrar has said Collins can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Collins has a distinction average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Collins would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Collins isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Nairobi State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $800 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $210 • Final term tuition: $500 • Exam and lab fees: $50 • Textbooks and materials: $40 If you're reading this, thank you.
