Weekly meals for families facing hunger in Paris
The the Thursday Table pantry in Paris is running low just as demand rises; $2,450 will stock it for 10 weeks.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Thursday Table every Thursday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 13 families, and now we feed 341 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 47% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 12 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Paris market and keep every receipt.
Each $40 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $2,450 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $750
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $1,050
• Baby formula and diapers: $510
• Refrigeration and electricity: $140

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale) comes first ($750) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid.
