Weekly meals for families facing hunger in New Delhi
The the Sunday Shelf pantry in New Delhi is running low just as demand rises; $250 will stock it for 10 weeks.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Friday from the back of a community center. We started with 29 families, and now we feed 65 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 33% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 19 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the New Delhi market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $250 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $55
• Baby formula and diapers: $50
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $145
