Weekly meals for families facing hunger in Jakarta Barat
Hani runs a volunteer pantry feeding 69 families; this fund restocks shelves for the summer.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Thursday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 14 families, and now we feed 69 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 37% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 7 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Jakarta Barat market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $300 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $185
• Baby formula and diapers: $85
• Refrigeration and electricity: $30
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
Updates from Hani
Small update. $190 so far, I made the first payment toward refrigeration and electricity.
We're at 27% thanks to 5 of you. we've booked the dates and paid the deposit. More news soon.
